Sever years ago I bought the adjustable rear camber strut rods but can't remember who I bought them from. One end has a grove around it to indicate either left or right threads but can't remember which. Does anyone have a set of these adjustable strut rods (originally came gold in color) with a grove around one end, that remebers if the grove end is left or right hand threads. The reason I ask is I used a lot of lock-tit on the nuts once the rear end was alligned and I'm having difficulity breaking the nuts loose, don't want to strip them.
I just looked at a new set that came with my car. Sorry but they are marked L and R. Can you visually inspect the exposed thread to tell which they are? Also, I need to install mine. What is the process? Is it to put car on jack stands then put pressure on the spring end to bring to level and then just change them, or is it a lot more complicated?
if you didn't use antiseze or grease and they have been on the car for a few years they will be very hard if not impossible to break loose. Ask me how i know.

Thanks,

I have them, also, and the groove end indicates left hand threads. I would not use loc-tite, but some people have had them loosen up. I would just use a little anti-sieze and tighten them up good. (After a couple months you can always re-check them).

I almost lost control my vette when the passenger side loosen and the wheel was severly inclined outwards! I dont know what caused that but when I checked it both sides were on their last few threads! that was scary!! I dont know what caused that rapid turn of threads but I strongly advice anyone who got the adjustable ones to tight them very well.
I have a set of VB&P's adjustable strut rods - I found some metric wavelock washers to install between the lock nuts and the rods. Hopefully that will reduce any tendency to loosen.

Sounds like a very good idea. Keep us posted on how it works out as I might do the same with mine.
I still have my adjustable strut rods out in the garage. Been there for a couple of years now. I need to get off my butt and get them in there. Maybe this winter when the LS goes in I will put the strut rods in there too.
