I doubt it's the same, but I have one from a 79 sitting on a shelf about 4 feet from me. If the 70 and the 79 are the same let me know and I'll take some pictures of it for ya.
Oh, I assume you are talking about the one under the hand brake?

Yup, that's the one. Thanks, I'd appreciate the pic.
I have my 71' apart right now, what do you want to see. 79' is much different than 70'. This is a shot looking up from the bottom of the console at the forward mounting bracket.
Star79 - yeah, it is very differnt, but thanks anayway, I appreciate it.
Duke94 - Man, that's clean. That's actually the exact shot I was looking for. Juat a couple of questions based on your pitcure:
1 - I noticed you have the heater control bracked already installed on the top of the console, but the heater control itself is not yet installed. What sequence did you install the heater control in?
2 - The actual steel reinforcement "bridge"...is it bolted together first, or do the screws from the cosole actually act as the screws that hold it in place?

The steel reinforement comes in from the top, then the control unit comes up from the bottom. Don't screw anything down until you get the 2 parts mated. It is a PITA. I have mine apart for the 3rd time and it doesn't get any easier.
I find that the easiest way is to connect the gauge bezel to the center console first before hooking anything else up as this was the most difficult fit for me. Have to be careful as they do not make any of these parts very strong on their own. Make sure all u-nuts are in place and secure before starting to assembly...enjoy the ride when done...
