454 restrictor plate ???
OK....another item, as I finish up (my 1st) re-build.
74 / 454
Do I use the little stainless steel restrictor plate on the passenger side intake gasket ... OR ... leave it fully open like the driver side ??? It's slightly larger than a postage stamp with a round hole in it.
What does it do ?
THe felpro instructions aren't very clear ... Thanks.....44B

Melting Slicks
I believe that is for the exhaust cross over that heats the carb. There has been alot of discussion on this in the past. Check the archives. I've done mine both ways in Southern Calif. and I settled on leaving mine open. It MAY sacrifice 1 or 2 hp, but it helps driveability alot.
