Contact forum member gtr1999 - he has a great reputation (do a forum search for posts that he's mentioned in or has participated in).
But, they can be done without any special tools (my buddy and I did rebuilds for my '72 and '73) and Flaming River will sell you a rebuild kit. The rebuild is a PITA though...
The only special tools you need are bushing drivers and a 0-30 inch pound torque wrench with a dial to do the job accurately. Contact Gary (GTR1999) or Mike Dyer (Tracdogg2) for parts or to do your rebuild. I'd plan on about 4-5 hours for the job for your first time. If your gears are shot, this get expensive.
I just got my steering box rebuilt by forum member GTR1999, and the sevice and communication from this gentleman was incredible. He sent pictures of the progress during every phase of the job, from delivery to completion. The workmanship and finish on the box was superb, both inside and out. Shoot him an email, you will not be sorry. Thanks again Gary for such a great job!!

The attention to detail and communication was superb. I would not buy new, but have GTR1999 rebuild. Here are some pics of mine after the rebuild(better than new)! Would replace the rag joint also.

Looks better than new to me. Very nice. If I still had a gear box and it needed rebuilding, Gary would be the go to guy for me. He has some nice write ups with pics. Check them out.
