More wiper door ?
I am installing Wiper door that someone removed for a L-88 long hood. I have most of the parts and trying to install to check fitt before paint. My ? is does the vac canster adjustment help with lineing up the hood with fenders. Thanks

The four that attach the "hinge" to the actual door. They are the little ones with the nylon washers that screw into the door.

je68 -- If I understand your question correctly, the answer is "No." The vac cannister does not assist with wiper door/hood/fender panel alignment. The wiper door hinge hardware has an adjustment point on each side which is used to set the alignment with the fender tops. There is no alignment with the hood since the wiper panel does not butt up against the hood. The cowl vent panel can be shimmed toward the hood or away from it to close/open the gap by shimming at the points where the brackets attach. My '68 Assembly Manual has good diagrams and instructions for aligning the wiper door and setting up the entire assembly. Get the AIM and look over the diagrams.
