Edelbrock air cleaner
Which air cleaner should I choose for a 1981 vette if I remove the plastic stuff.... Which diameter and width of air cleaner will fit under my stock hood..

Pat, go to Performance Improvements on St Charles and try out a few 14" ones, they will let you try it on your car if you're polite about it. They also have a 2" filter (Trans-Dapt brand I think) if you end up needing room under the hood.
**edit* if you need the 2" filter element I have a brand new one you can have, you just have to come to Dorval to get it. PM me for details.

I have one of these and it fit with the stock intake. With a high rise intake I had to trim some off the base.

I use a standard (12") diameter and 3" tall filter with stock carb and manifold on my 73. Still can fit the stock rubber seal ring on the outer housing for the cold air induction.
