My 79 jerks reak suddenly to yhe right if you turn the steering wheel a little off center.It does it at any speed and on the highway it is a little unnerving.
The front end is tight,the rear bushings are good and it has new tires all the way around.
I set the alignment on the Hunter alignment machine at work and it is ALL in specs.I have 23 years doing alignment work......just never ran into this issue.
Is there an adjustment to the power assist ram or valve that will cause/correct this???
Going straight,there is NO pull or wander AT ALL.
My PS fluid is full and of the correct type,I have no leaks in the PS system.
I just went through this with my 74 I just got on the road .I found the rag joint to be very worn after changing it there was some improvement but what did the job was a new power steering control valve WOW!!!
