I can't get my 1969 to start. I had the starter and starter wiring replaced because both were shot. Soon after, the lights and electrical would would work but when I turned the ignition the car went dead and wouldnt come back on. I reset the cables and the electrical came back on but cuts back off when i turn the ignition again. I took it back to the shop that replaced the starter, they charged the battery and it worked fine for a few weeks. Yesterday the same thing happened again. I put a new battery in it and it started fine all yesterday. This morning it is doing the same thing again. I took the battery out and charged it. When i put it back in and tried to start it, I got a spark at the positive terminal and the car goes dead until i reset the cables. I don't see anything wrong with the connections at the starter. Any ideas?

Check the ground connections, one at the rear drivers side wheel that connects the battery to the frame, the other at the passengers motor mount to the engine.
If the positive terminal is sparking, then that is where your bad connection is. Clean under the bolt in the cable. Remove it and scrape off the corrosion on the terminal and the bolt.
Thanks Big_G! There wasnt any corrosion on it, it just looked old so I put a new terminal on and it fired right up. You have no idea how much time and frustration you just saved me. I owe ya one!
