My battery drains and removed the neg cable....hooked a multimeter to the neg on the battery and the neg cable. The draw is 12.68 volts. I removed all of the fuses...no change. removed the alt wires...no change in draw. What do I do next? Thanks
Well, first thing to do is set the meter to amps, 10a scale and do the same measurement. You are looking for a current drain which is measured in Amps, Miliamps etc not in Volts.
Put the neg meter lead on the cable and the + meter lead on the - battery terminal. Do this with the fuses in and the doors closed and everything turned off. See what you get, the meter should read under 100ma or .01 amps
Take a pic of the meter setup your useing, I can help better if I can make sure your set up right
Am doing that right now....so far without the fuses in and the door closed there is 0.00 draw. I didn't know to use AMP setting. I'm going to install the fuses and get back to you...thanks sixfooter. Larry
have you messed with anything electrical recently to cause the drain? i made a mistake once and hooked up a ground to a hot lead!! i could not belive i did it!!!! i still think there were gremlins in my garage at night that did it...but sometimes mistakes happen.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you guys. I bought a new ground cable....this time I checked out the AMP drain like SIXFOOTER suggested and the drain was .04 miliamps. I was checking the VOLTAGE earlier and all I was doing was finding out how much juice the battery had....duh!!!!! Coincedently.....my passenger side courtesy light was not working and so I took off the passenger lower dash and there it was. A wire frayed and sometimes make contact and sometimes not. It was draining the battery for sure......Thanks SIXFOOTER...you made my day!!!!! Thanks to EVERYONE for their replys..............Larry
