Default Lifter ticking question???

350 stock Chevy.
Lifters tick then quite down then start ticking againg, and going down the road they start and stop. Engine doesn't miss either way.
Sometimes they don't tick for awhile then start up again.
I checked the rockers and they are oiling, changed oil, 40lb pressure hot..
Are they just wearing out on the bottom or dirty, and is this ruining the cam????

Oil pressure looks good. How many miles on the engine? A valve adjustment might help and a can of Marvel Mystery Oil added to the oil will also help if you have a clogged lifted.

Had to pull the lifters out.
4 or them had white circles on the base, the rest were polished the way they were sopposed to be.
I measured the cam lobes and they were all OK.
Two of the factory rockers were almost dry compared to the other that dripping oil.
So now goes in the Comp Cams 470/270 110 sep cam, heavy duty push rods and 1.52 roller rockers, Cloyes true roller chain.
While im at it, polished Professional Products Cyclone intake and other assorted goodies!
Pics when done.
(PS) should I advance the cam 2 degrees?
