T-Top liner

T-Top liner
Under the T-tops of my 78 is a liner. It is hanging down in several places. I see something that resembles velcro but when I push it together there it does not connect. What am I looking at and how do I fix my 'droop'? Thanks

That stuff that "looks like velcro" is velcro...but it is somewhat different that your standard "wallet" type that we are used to seeing. I have to give mine a "pop" (not to hard though) with the soft part of my palm to get it to hook up. Just make sure it it is in the position you want it in before you pop it or you will have to pull it apart (awfull sound in my opinion) and line it up and start again.
In other words...it takes quite a bit of pressure to get that type of "velcro" to hook up.
Also think about how many times it has been removed and "poped" back on again. It is pretty durable...however it can...and will wear out. If it absolutly will not hook up, it could be that it is just plain worn out. Not a super big deal as most Corvette Parts companys have replacements...and they usually are not to expensive.
