Door panel help

Default Door panel help

I'm having problems keeping my door panels attached with the velcro pads, anyone have any alternative solutions or tips?

The other option is screws. The PO on my car had the interior redone very cheaply (new capret lain directly over old, you get the picture). He did use brand new door panels, though and instead of really working to affix them, he just screwed the suckers in. Well, you get what you pay for. My suggestion is to take off the panel, evaluate where it is not conforming tightly (usually along the bottom) and use a couple grip type clamps. Clamp it up for an overnight, or a day and let the ambient heat recontour the door panel to the actual shape of the inner door. If that doesn't work, at least put your screws in an inconspicuous spot!

The small panel clips front and back worked for me. Without them both, I could not get the velcro to hold.

The mold on new door panels do not always conform to the door frame and creates a spring like effect. I have used a commercial heat gun to help mold the panel to the door for a better fit. Then securing the door is easier.
