Electrical Problems For What It's Worth
Sometimes dumb luck is better than critical thinking. I was having a lot of electrical issues with my C3. I looked at my grounding cable and it looked good, but decided to change it just for the heck of it. Now my battery does not drain, the horn works like it never did before and my power windows go up and down like they should. It's interesting how something that I would not have expected to have so much impact on my electrical problems in fact did. I don't know if this was just a fluke or did I fix something in the process of swaping out the cable. I don't know....but the cable replacement stopped me from spending a lot of $$$$$ on new window motors and any other rewiring that I would have ended up doing.

SOmetimes its better to be lucky than good!
Might have just been removing the ground and putting it back on improved the connection between the cable and frame and/or motor. Either way, glad you got it fixed

SIXFOOTER,...your recommendation about the courtesy lights was right on. There was a frayed wire under the rt side lower dash......I would never have found it with out your expertise. I did clean and sand the frame where the neg cable is attached....thanks for your knowledge. Larry
