Default Tail lights

I've been reading back post and have learned alot, the members are great in sharing their pains and knowledge.

I'm new to posting so bare with me,I have a early 71 with all matching numbers.

I cann't find my problem yet as why the tails lights do not come on.
Brake lights work, flashers work, replaced all bulbs, cleaned the ground.Do you think the problem is in the switch or some other ground I haven't found yet?

thanks for any help

Did you check the tail-lamp fuse? yes,I replaced all fuses atleast I think I did if its under the dash.

Maybe I'll find the problem when I redo the dash...

Are the rear parking lights working (the small red rectangular lights on the side near the rear). It's on the same circuit.

Also check if the backup light switch mounted on the side of the tranny is there. Trace the green and pink wires with a L plug from the firewall down to the switch. My back up lights don't work because the switch is missing.

Thank you to everybody

I'm been tinkering with the vette for about two years now and is time to get it on the road. The vac has been a pain but this forum has helped me greatly in understanding how everything works.Fairly simple if you know where to start and what to look for. Will agree with the members on doing stuff yourself b/c most places around here are bubba run, weld it,throw it away or cover it up.

Could a Mod delete the other thread I started on tail lights? it would help others when searching in not looking in a empty box.
thanks again.

Finally got one tail light to work, passager side works but the diver side still does not work.Test light shows the diver side is hot(test light ground to tail pipe) and I have tryed 4 different bulbs and it still does not light.Noticed the w/h on diver side has two grounds and the passerager side has one. Both are grounded to the lic/plate,but one ground wire on diver side is not bolted to nothing.Where does it bolt to ?71vet
