Default Exhaust cut outs

Has anyone installed the Mr. Gasket exhaust cut-outs? I'm thinking about installing them on my vette just to annoy the neighbors from time to time and for better performance on the freeway. Any problems with the cable linkage to open/close the valve? Thanks in advance.

When you say freeway do you mean racing people? I don't think you would want to listen to the constant drone of open exhaust when cruising down the highway. Plus if you drive int he wetness alot those things have been know to stick closed and what not.

I can't tell what size pipes u have or size cutout u need Marcusk. But i do know the Mr. Gasket cutouts are only 2" dia. Now my headers run 3" collectors to 2 1/2" pipe and would need a 2 1/2" or 3" cuttout as i have looked at cutouts before and the Mr. Gasket cutouts wouldn't work on mine. But i recall the stock down pipes on my small block were only 2" dia and i assume your '82 is that way also. If not then Jeg's (and Sum___t - non supporting vendor) have the larger cutouts.

Reagardless, good luck as the late 70's C3's need a fix for the single pipe exhaust system. Please post your results.
