I'm curious as what these other casting numbers are on the head. This head has the GM casting with a "6" and a vertical "21" in between the rocker arm studs.
And this one has a casting number "22" in between the intake ports.
And finally, a quick valve question. All the valves except this one look great. This one seems to have alot of deposit caked onto it. Could there be any quick reasons for one intake valve to be caked on, but the exhaust valve is clean?
The exhaust valves will always run cleaner than the intakes because they run hotter. The mixture may be a little rich. Try leaning the cruise out a little.

But it was just that one intake valve, all the rest were clean like the exhaust valves. After removing the valve I also got alot, I mean ALOT, of deposit held up behind the valve.
