Im trying to trmove the lock cylinder from my 1975 with a tilt tel and cant seem to get it out. Any help would be great. I have taken the wheel and lock plate off but there is no pin to be found nor is there any place to put a paper clip next to the key to remove it

Welcome to the forum....it would be best if you filled out some of your profile, if you plan to hang here a while.

The thing is actually very easy to get out. If you have the wheel off, look down the hole just in front of lock cyliinder, there is a rectangular buttton down there that you can push on with a straight blade screwdriver, and it will pull right out.

The paper clip and key was used to remove the lock cylinder from the dash mounted lock cylinder back before the 1969 GM locking steering columns.

Here are complete instructions on removing the lock cylinder from a 1975 T&T locking column.

Just remember, additional help is only a computer click away.
