69 Caliper problem
My caliper (RF) siezed on my 69 last week. I am in the process of replacing it, but one othe retaining bolts will not come loose to get the old caliper off. I've tried 10W40, propane torch, to no avail. Anybody have any suggestions?
thanks in advance,
Jim

Did you try a 2ft. breaker bar? If so, stick a piece of pipe on the end of said breaker bar.

A good set of impact sockets is a must (even if you use them on a regular wrench). I've shattered the regular 12pt. chrome sockets before...

Also, make sure you are wrenching on the caliper mounting bolts and not the large bolts that hold the caliper halves together. The caliper mounting bolts are a 5/8" hex, I believe.

WD40 is not very good for rusted bolts. Soak in PB Blaster overnight and try again.
