I have a C-3 that had a frame off. While being done the car was converted to power steering. The problem I am having is when the wheel is turned all the way the left the power steering will actually lock. The only way to unlock it is to turn the engine off and then it will turn fine. I have replaced the power steering control valve and adjusted it as well as replaced the ram and I still have the same problem.
Check to see that the gear box is centered in its travel. Equal # of turns each way to lock from center. Since you didn't fill out your profile, I don't know what year you have. The early Vettes had 2 holes in the kunckle, on my 78', it's the one closest to the pivot.
Its a 1970 the tie rods are on the outside hole. From what it sounds they should be on the inside hole
Inner hole is for power, outer hole is for manual. There might be a big rivet in the hole that you will need to remove. Easy switch, but you may need to reset the toe. Welcome to the Forum.
Thanks to all.
I wish I would have checked here before having it aligned. I am going to bring it back to the alignment shop and have them move the tie rods and readjust the alignment
