I am restoring a 1976 Corvette. Lowering the floorpans to accomodate my 6'4" frame with the new C5 z06 seats I am installing and the old seatbelts were trashed. Looking for an economical and effective replacement for seatbelts. If anyone has any reccomendations I would appreciate it.
there are several universal sets out there. i picked up a set of 4 points for about $150. i dont remember the vender but i did a search and found them that way.
I got a set coming from Andover. they stock the Black, but have to get any colors custom built, mine are finally in transit. It's a good day. good original fit style belts, right colors and dimensions. Stay away from Ecklers anything with seat belts! The so called replacement doesn't fit worth a da*n and the direcect replacement set is over 500 bucks. joke on that. 500 bucks for a set of replacement black seat belts.
Used '02 Trans Am belts for my '76, you need the rear belts out of a coupe. Flatten one little tab on the rear mount behind you, hog out the holes a tiny bit for the slightly larger mounting bolts, and you're set.
