Steering column replacement
Does any one know wif a steering column from another year will fit a 76? I need to replace the column on one and was just curious if any other years will fit. I know the steering wheel will not fit that is not an issue I will replace it all.

There is no other steering column from any other car that will fit a C3. There are some C3 columns that can be interchanged.
The 1968 columns (telescoping only or standard non-adjustable) was unique for that one year. They may interchange with 1967.
1969 through 1975 steering columns (T&T and standard) will interchange.
1976 (T&T and standard) steering columns will interchange with 1969 through 1975. The steering wheel, telescope lock, and horn parts are unique for that one year.
1977 (T&T and standard) will interchange into 1969 through 1976 vehicles.
1978 through 1982 (T&T and standard) columns will interchange into older C3 models. But you must cut back the plastic shroud that extends into the instrument cluster.
