Question on Motor Mounts
Hi Guys,
I'd appreciate your help in my search for motor & trans mounts. I'd like to go with a poly locking style mount for my 73 454, but can only locate solid mounts.
If anyone has a link to a distributor I'd be greatful if you could pass it on to me.

Like my solid mounts, too. Moroso parts are available at any decent speed shop. Jeg's, Ecklers and the like have the polys.
btw, according to TCI, solid transmission mounts are the chief cause of tranny case breakage. I'd stay with rubber or go poly there.

Do you know if the poly's listed at Eklers are common to small and big blocks?

I'm looking forward to taking my car out with the Moroso solid mounts. The installation was a bit interesting, though - the ears had to be spread apart a tiny bit to slide down over the frame horns.
On a side note, I assume that with a solid metal connection between block and frame, I no longer need an engine ground cable...
