Default offset A-arm shafts

Using a used replacement frame for my 81. Ready to assemble it. A-arms etc. Not knowing shim content previously, would it make sense just to go for the offset arms up front just in case?

Not sure but read my request lower down about 72 a-arms it may be of interest.
Im sure you will measure up your replacement frame just incase but do closely inspect bottom a-arms rear pivot point"wings" and shaft if not brand new. Also bracket/gusset welded to frame cross member.

I have a frame chart and mount to mount(body) is good. Never wrecked. All welds good on A-arm mounts. Chart does not show a dimension from shock tower to shock tower. If I had that maybe that would tell me if the frame has seen some sagging which I understand is normal over time. I think this is why offset arms and spreader bars are used. Any body have dimensions for tower to tower?

Regardless of which arms you use I like to mill a slot, elongate the holes in the cross shafts 1/4 inch to the front. This allows alot more caster to be added without using shims.
