HI,I am going to bring my seat covers to be installed. Was just trying to get a ball park figure on what some of you paid.I got an estimate of 350 to 400 from a well know local upholstery shop. Thanks Frank >STW< :flag
I took the advice of several guys on the Forum and did them myself. It was surprisingly easy, didn't require any special tools (I found that regular pliers worked better than hog ring pliers), and wound up looking great. Saved me the cash, and I can tell people I did my interior myself. Consider it.
I did mine too. Piece of cake. I just took my time disassembling and did one at a time to have a reference. I should've gotten new foam, but the old still worked fine, and I didn't have another $140 to spend.
i'm like the others i did them myself and i even bought some hog ring pliers at a local farm & home store,$6. the DIY thing is what i've tried to do on my vette, outside of rebuilding the engine & differential & buying a rebuilt 700r4,the rest of the work did, i pulled the engine &tranny,& diff in my garage and took them in to be rebuilt and then re-installed them. it's a nice feeling to know you did it yourself, you learned something about your car & yourself, and it frees up some cash to move on to the next project. i would try it yourself,if it doesn't work out,you could always take them in & have someone else do it. i don't think you will hurt anything by trying them yourself.
