After the mishap with the 383, I have decided not to rebuild but to have another engine built. It will be a 427" small block, 4.00" stroke.
My question.....what oil pan are you guys using? I want around 5-6 qt. capacity and no "fitment" issues. This will be for a '69 automatic, so the right side can't kickout to interfere with the trans. cooler lines. Also, don't want it to hang more than 1/2" lower than stock for ground clearance. Suggestions and part numbers helpful.....thanks.
Hamburger # 1088. Make sure you get the pan rail spreaders part # 1188 also. They eliminate every other bolt to get clearance and the spreaders eliminate leaks caused from this.

Thanks. I like that one better than the Moroso or Milodon comparables.
The Canton #13-082 looks good also.
i went with the hamburger #3047 with the kick outs on my 396. it will work with a 4" stroke. i used a 1 piece gasket and the spreader kit. here are a few pics.
