grinding noise
I have a strange grinding noise coming from the front of the engine. It seems to be coming from the water pump area. I also noticed that the pullys on the front of the pump are running out or wobbling. Could the bearings on the pump be causing this? And if the bearings are shot, wouldn't the pump be leaking coolant through the shaft? I have no apparent leaks. '79 L48 w/air stock 94K miles and the pump is most likely the original. Any help is greatly appreciated.
