after it overheated I started to get white smoke. Also I do have alot or coolents going to the over flow for no reason all the time... So is it more likly to be a blown head gasket?... I'm not leaking anything on the ground so I dotn think its a cracked head or could it still be?...
Blown head gasket or cracked head forcing air into coolant and pushing water out overflow tank.
...Don't think I want to go to Saudi Arabia.....It's Reeeeeeaaaaallllly hot over there. How do you keep your C3 cool saudivette? Do you still have the stock cooling set up?
Reeeeeeaaaaallllly hot is an understatement! It was 118F today and it's not even in the middle of summer yet!
Mine's in bits at the moment but before I pulled it apart, it had the stock (original from the factory, by the looks) cooling system. When it goes back together, it will have a new (standard) radiator and standard fans. Most of the original hood seals have long since gone so I will replace them too. Other than that, the system seemed to work fine.
Oh, I think the system must have been filled with 90% glycol and 10% water - dunno whether that made any difference. The so called "mechanics" out recommend 50/50 glycol water ratio...
