The middle section, that the two rubber pieces, left and right, attach to on the front spoiler, was bent sometime before I bought the car. It appears that there is a brace that holds it up, but it is also bent down. It doesn't look like anything that I see in Ecklers or Mid America though. Can anyone tell me, or show me, what that center piece looks like. Also, I have Mid America, Ecklers and Corvette Central Catalogs, if you know which piece I need, I would appreciate it if you could indicate it for me. I need that piece and two new rubbers sections. Thanks! Kloppy80
I need this info also. I have a 76 with an 80-82 front end on it and I am missing all the spoiler body pieces. Two bottom rubber pieces and center section. Could someome with an 80 to 82 AIM scan and post the pages related to these body pieces?
Sorry I can't post pics from within the corporate firewall.
In the Mid-America Catalog (I'm looking at catalog 11F, whatever that means), it's on page 183. The center section in original-style urethane, from GM, is #601-099, $239.99  and the pair of rubber lower pieces is #601-101, $119.99  or you can get all 3 parts in a package for $329.99. :(
You'll still have to paint the center section to match your car if you want it to look stock. Mine (which I believe to be original) is painted only on the lower 3 inches or so.
Seems like I remember Eckler's or Zip or somebody having that center section reproduced in fiberglass for a lot lower price. Might pay to look around. Just dont' hit any curbs or dips with it...
As for the brace, my center section was sagging pretty badly (problem with urethane) so I fabricated a bolt to hold it up in the correct location.
Gator is right on the paint scheme. Our original owner 81 is painted up just above the curved part going to the radiator, the rest is black. I'd put the urethene back in and not glass because it will give a little. The bracket you refer to was a hook setup that the center piece just rested on. It doesn't bolt down to anything other than the side fender areas. My bracket was so beat up I took it off (ground) and then made my own out of stock so it would hold up the center of the air dam. You don't need a big piece of steel to hold this as it just keeps it from sagging.
