I haven't had time to work on the vet but wanted to get some things done on it. Took it to the shop for a few items power steering leak, change fuild in rear end, both rear brakes leaking.
The shop called with a quote of $1,454.00 total to do the work. I told that was more than I expected to pay, the high dollar items were parts for the power steering stuff, the valve $400.00, cylinders $195.00, 2 hoses $118.00, and I don't remember what the cost of the other two hoses were.
the price on the brakes weren't too bad so I told them to do them and I'd get back to them on the power steering. I came to the forum and went to the restoration store and got the rebuilt kit that included all the parts and hoses for $185.25, much cheaper. Any way the shop is going to install the parts and charge me labor.
The shop has always been fair but they didn't know where to get the parts and were going to order them from GM. :D
I've had really good luck with Zip. I had some bad experiences with some other so-called corvette suppliers, but zip and mid-america have always worked perfect for me. :)
