battery hooked up incorrectly 1968
I had to replace a battery and upon reconnection I foolishly hooked the poalarity up backwards.
Now the car won't crank. Is there a reset switch or asome components I can check to fix the situation?
I just had it tuned up and did this the next day since the mechanic suggested a new battery.

OOPS, We never seen that in here before..
OK, you probably let the majic smoke out of the fuse links. They can be found connected to the large battery cable connection on the starter. Lift the front and get under there with a light. There is a big cable connected to the starter that comes from the battery, coming off that are 2 smaller wires spliced into other wires. The short pieces are the fuse links, you can get them at Nappa or wherever. Once thats fixed, check the alternator, it might be toast too
