Default holley heat shield question

Did anyone here buy the heat shield from holley? It didn't come with any instructions and I was wondering where the gaskets go. There is one thick and one thin one. I wasnt sure if the thick one went under the shield or between the shield and carb. Thanks a lot.

Original applications put the shield next to the carb base with no gasket, but I dont now that they suggest or even what you are using it on.

Now if you didn't need a gasket between the carb and shield then if you didn't use a sheild at all would mean you didn't need a gasket between the carb and the intake either?

Well, I cant really say, because I dont know of any application that didnt use a gasket. Just telling how it was on original cast iron manifolds with the exhaust cross over under the carb. They never put a gasket between the carb and the shield.
