Anyone remember Allan71?
He's been gone a long time but I just got an e-mail back from him today. He said he's been working like a dog, fixing his Vettes and had computer problems. He said he'll try to get back on the forum soon. I think he's got an LT-1 and an LS-5!
For those who don't recognize his name, he is a valuable source of Corvette information and has helped me on more than one occassion.

Re: Anyone remember Allan71? (1970 Stingray)
He's waiting to hear back from Troy---evidently his screen name an password have expired!
I remember one instance in particular where I had a question about which type of hood I could use on my '70. He posted a bunch of Vette pics with different hoods! :D He also helped me ID my engine, tranny and rear end!
Looked at some vettes with him at 2000 Carlisle.
I was hoping to see him this year there but didn't.
A real knowledgeable vette guy who is also a real nice guy.
Glad to hear he's coming back.
I had posted on here and at NetVettes (where he just used Allan) a couple of time and no one knew what had happened to him. Glad he is okay and hope to see him come back.
with that many corvettes  do you have to even think  about why he has no time for the forum.....
with what we know about keeping our *single* vettes on the road......
imagine what he is going through to keeping those hotrods ripping up the roads....umless he gets a dash-mounted-vette-laptop  , its going to be a while before we see him :cry !!! :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:
till then we will have to :cry till he gets back....
Allen has been very helpful to me, he disappeared just a couple of months after I came along. I learned alot from him while he was here. Glad he's doin allright.
I remember him , in fact before the days of our note pad. I had printed one of his post's( I kept some interesting posts) he registered aug of 2000 that was when our member since ?? was visable on our sig..
i remember him,he has a 71 LT1 and used to be on the vette-vues board also, a wealth of knowledge. in fact, it seems over the last few months some of the regulars have dropped off, either that or they are looking but not replying.
Oh yes I remember Allan - that's great news. :) A bunch of us sat on top of the hill outside the gates at Carlisle 2000 to watch the burnout parade. :D There have been several posts over the last year inquiring about his whereabouts! Glad he'll be rejoining us soon. Definately a shark numbers & details kind of guy. :yesnod:
Man, am I happy to hear this.
He was of such a big help to me, when I bought my Vette as a complete
novice and helped me determine the non factory engine and more.
I just wondered about the quick and professional answers , he always had to all my questions , by that time on the Netvettes forum.
I thought , he invented and build this cars !
Thanks for telling us this good news.
