Default HELP - Power Steering pulls hard left and kills motor

As many of you know I have been wrapping up a 2-1/2 year resto-mod of my 82 Vette.
I need some help!
The new power steering pulls hard to the left and kills the motor. I bled the system using the Jim Shea method of turning the wheel all of the way in one direction, hold it for 5 seconds, slowly turn it back to the other direction, hold it for 5 seconds. Repeating this for 20 times on each side. The air should be out of the system. However, it still pulls to the left and stalls.
PLEASE HELP......

Look at the hoses between the PS valve and the Ram, they should cross over each other. If not it will make the wheel jam one way or the other. If that is right then the next thing to look at is the PS valve adjustment. Jim also has a document for that

If the lines are crossed, the steering will shake violently from side to side. I would go directly to the balance prodeedure.

Thats true unless the hoses are wrong and the valve is way out, then it will just lock up. The hose check is a 3 second visual check, easiest thing to do. Your probably right tho, usually its just the valve, but in the time I have been in here there have been a half dozen guys post that had the hoses wrong

The hoses do cross as they enter the valve on the driver's side. No problems there. I will go to Jim's docs and see if I can find.
I'll let you know.

It sounds like the valve is out of adjustment as others have said. At least it should be an easy fix

It worked. The valve was out of adjustment. Thank you Guys of this great Forum and especially Jim Shea (where are you?)
