Default Ok i swear last one.....

OKKK this is the last time i will post about performance parts till i get more money

After the long hard decison i decided to splurge for hooker side pipes so i will be ordering shortly but i want to bump up some torque as some of you know but now im even lower on cash. Durango talked me into vortec and they come pretty cheap so iv seen so i want to go that route. Ultimately i want to make ALOT of low end torque and i will go 383 someday but for now what should i be looking at vortec style?

1st: Where is a good place to buy cast vortec heads that i can bolt on out-of-the-box? I want as little mod. that i can get away with. Im still not that engine savvy.
2nd: What is the best intake for low end torque thats vortec?
3rd:.......i think that covers it, im looking at a new carb to get rid of my q-jet and i have been looking at holly street avenger and edelbrock AVS maybe a duel carb for looks?

Info: Bone stock 1980 L82

Now performer or performer RPM intake? or something totally different?
Carb recommendations?

If you are on a budget, why are you wanting to buy a new carb? A good Q-jet is hard to beat. Use the 'search' and I think you'll find that for $25 and an afternoon's work you can save several hundred dollars.

Stick with the Q-Jet.

Get the Doug Roe book, Rochester Carburetors.
Get Lars' tuning paper: http://www.corvettefaq.com/c3/QJetTuningPaper.doc

Note how much torque the Q-Jet made.

For your combo, here is the cheapest combo you will find!
Go to the Skip white ebay site and look at all his parts, I have bought tons from him and it all has been very good stuff.
Theres no use over spending when you don't have to!!!!!
Also if you wanted a polished intake , you can get them for about $134 bucks!!!!!!
