Default more weatherstripping, I think...?

I've just installed new door main weatherstripping and front and rear side window weaterstripping on both sides, yet still when it rains, I have a leak, but not where you would expect it. It's on the passenger side right underneath the air conditioning vent under the glovebox. I crawled around yesturday under the dash and found what appears to be a rotted old piece of weatherstripping. Is there something in the rear of the front fender or under the dash I also need to replace?

Not sure about the '81 model...but my '77 has weatherstriping that bolts (yes, bolts, lol) to the firewall in the wiper tray, and wraps around the bottom corners of the windshield. This looks to be to keep water from coming in between the lower windshield pillar area and the rear of the front fender. However,I replaced mine... (and the windshield) ...and I still have water coming in in the same place you do. Passenger side, under the A/C vent, kick panel area. I have water in the floor board after a good rain.
This reply probably doesn't help you...but hopefully there is a weatherstriping guru out there that can help us both.

i was getting water on the floor of my 78 when i first purchased it and
i found 2 problems

#1 i pulled the screens out of each fender near the windshield and stuck
my shop vac down in and you wouldnt believe the crap that i got out,
with this in there the water couldnt drain properly.

#2 was the diverter door behind the passengers side kick panel, it was stuck in the open position. i freed it up and lubed it so it works smoothly.

not sure which one made the most difference as i did them both at the same time but my guess is cleaning the drains so the water doesnt just lay there and look for a place to go.

either way im not getting water on the floor anymore
