I suppose it depends on your definition of reasonable. I was happy with price and service from FedEx Passport last year.

The two carriers at Barrett-Jackson this year were FedEx and Intercity. The transport costs quoted by Fed Ex seemed reasonable to me, but I have not used either, so no comment on service.

Dang! What timing. You must be psycic. I just spent the last two days researching transports. Lot's of good ones, and lots of bad ones.Blue Highways is picking up my new baby Friday. www.bluehighways.net
Talk to Kurt, tell them Bernard Jones recommended him. But you might want to wait a week to see how the whole transport went. They come highly recommended on the Ferrari chat site. My first choice was Demise, but they are booked solid this summer. Blue Highways matched Demise's quote, and could pick up this week! Google Auto transports, and there are sites where you put your requirements in, and transporters from everywhere will email you and phone you with quotes. I'm still getting them.

I'm looking for a transport also to ship my car to Las Vegas but all I'm finding are fronts for networked carriers with no real business address. They email quotes almost instantly and several have phoned me. They use 800 numbers and email addresses from yahoo. I don't trust any of them so far. They all sound like they're just taking reservations and posting them on a transport network for any carrier to pick up. I don't know..........

Try Uship.com There are some good deals to be made! I use it a couple of times and had always excelent drivers/shippers. I noticed with most more TLC for parts then regular UPS or TNT.

I can vouch for Horseless Carriage. They moved my Lotus from Phoenix to DC. They kept me informed of their progress and even called me to tell me they would be late in delivering due to a broken shock. The Trucker (and his wife) where very friendly and profesional. I have a few aquaintances that have used them to move their exotics with excellent results.

I can't recall the exact cost, but I believed it was about 1500 for enclosed transport. Car must be running without fluids leaking out - usually a problem with Brit cars They dopped the car off in front of my house, it was covered, it was clean, and I was a satisfied customer.

Hope this helps.

I only called back the carriers that came highly recommended by the guys that had used them. Go to Ferrarichat.com and do a search under car transport. If you go with an open carrier as opposed to an enclosed carrier, insist that your car rides on top. That way the truck isn't kicking up sand on your vehicle, and the top vehicles aren't dropping oil and anti-freeze on your car. Usually enclosed is the way to go and not that much more expensive.

I hear you about the Brit cars

Yeah, Horseless are great from what I hear and it's nice to see others have had a good experience with them

DO NOT USE AUTOCARRY.COM. They are completely dishonest. They contract for one price and when your car arrives in town they EXTORT for more money or they send your car to a storage yard and hold it ransom. They are crooks. I contracted them to move my 1974 from NY to California. Never Again! Beware! The driver and the storage yard operator are family related. Big surprise!
