Default Possible Engine Knock HELP

I decided to adjust the timing on my number matching 70. The car has about 600 miles on the motor. I adjusted the timing to about 34 degrees total and went for a ride. I did not hear any pinging so I got on it 2 or 3 times and it ran great. The next time I drove the car I heard a pinging sound pretty bad at normal driving so I brough it back home and retarded the timing. After taking a few degrees off pinging went away.

I started it today and it could be my imagination but it sound like I have a small knock when I bring the the RPMS up while the car is not in gear. I did pull the valve covers and one rocker arm seem to be pretty loose. I could spin the push rod and just looking at the nut you could tell the other rockers were tigher by 5 to 6 turns. Could a rocker the loose sound like a knock? The knock does not sound like a lifter tick, The engine had 70 lbs of oil pressure when cold and about 30 lbs when warm at idle.

Needless to say I am scared %$# of blowing up the numbers matching motor. Any help would be welcome. Or in any one knows someone in the Boca Ratom, Delray Beach area of S. Florida I could bring the car to.

Thanks in advance
Marty
