Default headers in general..

Few questions here, I have a set of mr Gasket headers, unknown anything else, except full length....so question is, they will not work with the rack/pinion setup on the driver's side...need modifications.....
so....am I better off just getting another set??? any thing anyoe runs that is closer to the block??? thinking of shorty block huggers if it's any losses over the full length things I have now...???
OH the tubes are 1 5/8 od... it's a 355 engine...injected '72 engine, edelbrock heads, but may go back to iron...

can the headers be modified??? what is the usual cost???

If you can weld you can modify the headers. I doubt that you will find anyone to do it for you except maybe a buddy...

All you need is a hacksaw and your favorite welder...

You buy the tubing bent into a U and then cut slpice and weld the pipe back together.

Dons Hot Rod Shop has the best prices on U bends
