Rebuilding tranny questions
Rebuilding a Saginaw 3 speed transmission on my dad's 69 coupe. This is the last step in the rolling chassis.
I have bead blasted and painted the case. I am replacing the synchros, blocker rings, gaskets, and seals. Everything looks fine inside, and the only reason for replacing the synchros and blocker rings is because I have trouble with my shifts into second gear.
Do I need to do anything special when putting this trans back together?
Should I replace the bearings and retaining rings?
Any advise I haven't thought of would be great. Going to test fire the motor once this is installed.
