does any year corvette rim fit a 78' spindle? how do i find the specs to make sure i buy correct size new rims? thanks for your help.
With the exception of very early Corvettes all wheel patterns are the same all the way up through the C6s. Rims from C3s, C4s, C5s, and C6s will all interchange. Maybe even C2s but I don't know for sure.

C2's should fit... But , ya forgot to mention even though it might be a little obvious that you'll need spacers/adaptors for a C4 and up rim.
LIke DB said, the bolt patterns are the same, it's the wheel offsets off rim/tire centerline to mounting flange that change over the years....largest change being in the C4 model upwards....
the changes to flat faced rims bought longer axels in the rear, and more room for a ETO front mounted rack for steering....without widening the cars' outward looks so radically....
so IF you use say a C4 rim on a C3, you need about a 2.5 inch wheel adaptor....NOT a spacer, an ADAPTOR, no confusion please....
to allow mounting and proper offset/clearance....this for '92 wheels on a C3 like my '72.....the early C4 rims being 16 inch, I"m not sure of....
aftermarket is just that, and so guess...
ONE thing though is to keep the wheel centerline the same as stock, or damn close, within 1/4 inch or less....too much stress on the rear hubs and you dun bought the farm.....not see ME drive it anyway...
