Fender Protectors
What do you guys use to protect your fenders when working in the engine compartment.? I'm leaning over this nice black paint job just knowing I"m going to ding it.. :mad I've heard about fender protectors.. Anybody have a good source for buying them? Type? Brand?

I have a nice leather padded corvette labeled one (um....its for show, never use one for real work)...but I would suggest you *NOT* place this type actually on your car when working on it....unless its for a camera shot (hehe) you have a awesome paint job....don't want to ruin it .....use a nice *soft* and thick blanket.....maybe a couple of them around to swithch when one gets a lil' dirty....this way easy to wash and clean them... ?
the leather or any 'fancy' products will retain small particles on the underside that can scrape/scratch/rub/wear your nice paint job.... you want a fabric that is thick and soft that may not
attract and hold particles that could cause scratches or wear on that paint coat !

I've never cared for ready made fender covers.
I have several nice and thick bath towels just for paint protection.
You can even color co ordinate :lol:
