Default Vintage Air On A 77

I want to get the A/C working again on my 77. I've heard that replacing original parts is pointless since the air doesn't blow very hard or cold. I looked at Vintage Air's web page and it only offrs c-3 kits up to 1976. Has anyone adapted one to a 77?

I repaired my original system and it really cools the car. The key is to replace all the seals on the system and to replace the hot water shut off valve.

I haven't used the car that much this summer with the tops on, but when I did the car was cold.

Aftermarket A/C is really for cars w/o A/C. Probably rec. (Max) only w/o fresh air.

I have a 77 & modified Max. A/C High only to have adj. speeds like Normal A/C in the 70s. Also changed Low to Off.

Works fine w/ R4, or ND (similar to Sanden) compressor.
