I have a 70 LS5 with power steering. The car originally came with manual steering and the original owner put power steering on the car. I have recently put a new radiator in the car(not the original as I couldn't part with $1000 for it) and the upper hose is touching the alternator pulley. The alternator has a two position pulley, not sure what that is technically called. The old(original) radiator had the neck pointing up in the air more so it cleared the pulley. I am trying to figure out if the PS he had installed was done correctly. I am mainly trying to figure out if the alternator should have that double pulley on it or not. If it is, then does anyone have any ideas on how to remedy my problem?
Your belt configuration is correct, but the pulley on the alternator should be a single pulley. I believe the previous owner used the double pulley to obtain the correct alignment to the P/S Pump. Just for the record, the front position on the Water Pump Pulley is for the A/C Compressor, if applicable.
I'll try and take a photo of mine today and post.

Now I am more confused than I was before. All the pictures I have received, which I would like to thank all of you for, show an alternator with one pulley and that is what comes from the parts catalogs as well. So why would I need the extra pulley for alignment? Based on the pictures, I have the right bracket for the alternator and the other belts line up so I assume everything is spaced correctly, unless everything has been spaced out by one pully width. Does anyone know how I can verify my spacing on the accessories?

Why don't you start with the alternator...what is the number and date code on your alternator. Example, 1100544 61A 1D19
If you look at the front of your double pulley, the nut is probably inset.
All you probably need is a stock single pulley and maybe a spacer or 2 if needed.
