ill have more when im done i still have to install the 2 points going back im doing this last because i had trouble getting it in when they were on so i painted it now and ill weld the other bars in this weekend and then touch it up.
looks great. i think you should have painted the car after that, not before. but hey at least you do stuff to your car instead of just talk about it :yesnod:
thanks some times it takes me alittle longer to do it but ill do it.i dont worry about chipping the paint its going back in this week for the finish job...thats why im trying to get everything done now.
how did you move the fuel lines out of the way in order to weld the uprights to the frame? And if you are going to put on rear supports, will the fuel lines for those have to be moved also? If so, how...just push em out of the way?
yeah i removed on bolt holding the lines down and moved them the side then wet a rag down and layed it on the lines to keep heat down ...ill do same when i do the other 2 bars.
i have a bender but what i did was put a pipe in a pipe so it would bend without kinking its 1 3/4 pipe i then smoothed out the welds with polyester filler to look smooth.the main hoop has actually 2 pipes in it.."can we say very strong" if you look in second pic youll see the center sagging down a little when i bent it i couldnt get it back but back window is tinted anyway so youll never see it when its in.
