I am looking at putting an OEM spec cam or close to it back in my 69 427/390hp engine. I bought the car and it came with a lumpy mechanical lifter cam, the previous owner left the factory intake, Qjet and cast iron manifolds. The idle is rough and the engine vacuum is around 10 to 12 inhg so the wiper door and head light doors will open while idling at a long light. I’m thinking of something from Federal Mogul (Sealed Power) for an OEM type cam. Something from some of the other cam manufactures is OK. Any thoughts?
