Help, can't get my wipers to work after my engine compartment rebuild.
The plug with the three wires...blue is on top. There is also another ground wire.
I took a test meter and I have power to the center wire on the three wire plug. The top one seems to be a ground and I'm not getting anyting on the bottom wire.
The ground wire (single wire) registers on the test meter.
When I turn on the wipers, I just hear a click in the wiper motor.
If this problem began after your engine compartment rebuild
I suspect the blower fan isn't working either.
If not on the starter motor harness(the one with the fusable links on) there is a black earth cable which bolts to the bellhousing.
This is the earth for the wipers and blower.
Check and make sure its making a good earth.

Wow...you are exactly right. Started since my rebuild/engine comparment overhall....and my fan motor doesn't work.
However, I do not understand what you are telling me above. I'm thinking you are saying I am not getting a ground. I do have about a 7" ground cable that I do not know where it goes? Took pics over every nut and bolt I took off but must have missed the ground cable because I don't know where it goes.
(I'm 'not' talking about the big ground cable for the engine....got that one on there). This is smaller about the size of a pencil.
So I need a ground from the bell housing to the ???...starter motor?

No Doug,
You will find three large hole terminals in the wiring harness to the starter. The terminal attached to a black wire does NOT go on the starter lug with the other two. This wire is the ground for the wiper and blower motors. It should be attached to a bell housing bolt.

Ah....gotta ya!! I am sure I hooked it to the starter lug... I jack her up tomorrow and look.
Thank you so much for the help. If not for you and the forum, I'd never have figured it out.
I'll check in the AM and let you know. Thanks again!!
