air cleaner advice
i am putting a big block in a 75 with a holley
on a air gap manifold from the research that i have done i need to drop the air cleaner 1.5 inches to keep the stock hood. i can mill .500 off of the manifold does the 1969 drop base fit a 4150 holley and does it drop close to an inch? if not any sugestions?

I don't know how much drop your current air cleaner has, but a '70 LT-1 or L88 air cleaner will fit a 4150 Holley and gives as much drop as is possible keeping your choke horn.
You need to compare the stock LT-1 aircleaner base with what you've got to see if it will work.

thanks the original air cleaner is for a Q jet
I am trying to keep the original air cleaner assembly so it will make use of the cowl induction i will fab the rest of the assembly to that base if it works .
L 88 and LT1 are the same?
