suspencion/engine bay questions
1) Can I rebuild rear trailing arms, and replace rear bearings myself without sending them off and without spending a couple hundred dollars on special tools(will buying the tools outweigh sending them off to be rebuilt)?
2) Should I do the rear suspencion or the front suspencion first?(I want to drive car between projects, mainly to let the walet thicken back up for 2nd half of project).
3) When I do the front suspencion, should I do engine bay detailing at the same time, since a lot of things in the engine will be out so I can get to my upper a-arms?
4) How hard is it to patch a heater box, mine has holes in it, also my heater core needs to be replaced, can this be done from the engine side?
5) Can I do front suspencion, engine bay detail, and heater box job at the same time? Or am I looking at a big mess, with a lot of down time? I can handle about 2-3 months of down time, but nothing more.
I have more questions, but this post is long enough.
Thanks;
Daniel
I can't see any reason to do either front or back first.
You should be able to pull your heater box from inside the car only, if the inside is the problem
I did my suspension in the middle of a frame-off, so I am not sure about doing front susp. and engine detail. But I don't think you would be redoing anything
