The turn signals on my '76 Vette have all of a sudden started to faintly flicker rather than flash on and off. This happens with all bulbs on both sides when I turn the signals on. None are burned out.
Have any of you seen this? I am guessing that my directional signal lamp flasher has gone bad. I have a Chiltens repair manual that shows what the part looks like, but I can't see where it is located or what it is connected to. Does anone know where the lamp flasher is located and how hard is it to get to it? (I'm hoping this is not something that will reqire the removal of the dash.)
Any suggestions for a better repair manual?
Thanks for any advice that you can give me. I'm not real experienced but am determined to do my own repair work.
Re: Need advice with turn signal problem (A2Shark)
On my '75 the flasher unit is located just under the lower leading edge of the passenger side dash close to my A/C vent. Yours should be similar. If you lay on your back it is very easy to see and change. There's a little clip that holds it in place.
