Default Holley main bodies

Is it possible to buy a new Holley main body for "only" $130 instead of going for a compleatly new 750 dp for $440 and swap all the parts from my currently used Holley 650 dp (0-4777C) to uppgrade and get a HP 750 dp ?

Have I got this right, or is it somthing I have missed???

Is it only the main body that differs between a 650 dp and a 750 dp?
Are the baseplate and metering blocks the same on both carbs?

I had done that. Went to the 750HP from the 750. It did make a difference.

Also, the floats in the HP are different, made of that black plastic material with cutouts for jet extensions, and of course the HP has the jet extensions -- both of which you can buy as well. The HPs also have PV blow out protection, which I dont think you can add without changing the metering plates.

Good upgrade,..and yes, will convert a 650 to a 750+. The only minor downside is you lose the choke. Usually no problem for a garaged car.

I have already removed the choketower, for increasing the airflow.

But still I think the engine needs more air when looking at the dyno results.
